This past Saturday, our vibrant Beacon Hill on Cedar Creek Lake Property Owners' Association (POA) had the privilege of being the Grand Marshals in the heartwarming City of Kemp Christmas Parade on Main Street. It was a festive occasion that brought our community even closer to the heart of Kemp.
Behind the wheel of Mr. Stewart's iconic '59 Oldsmobile, our esteemed resident, Mark Meadows, took on the role of chauffeur for his beloved Jackie Meadows. Joining them in the parade were residents Stanley & Nicole Long and Jim and Joyce Stempack, who led the way and set the tone for the joyous procession.
Our Mayor, Christie Neal, had the pleasure of riding in style in Mr. Stewart's '66 Ford Thunderbird, with none other than our VP of Sales & Marketing Director, Joe McGinley, as her chauffeur. The parade was a delightful showcase of community spirit and unity.
Following the parade's conclusion, the Grand Marshals took on the important task of judging all the entries and selecting their Grand Marshal's choice. The deserving recipient of this honor was the Friends of Kemp 4-H/FFA, who received a well-deserved prize for their participation.
Adding to the magical atmosphere, Stanley Long had the honor of lighting the Christmas tree during the ceremony. Nicole, with her enchanting voice, counted down for the celebration and then treated parade attendees to a mesmerizing a cappella rendition of "Silent Night."
It was an exceptional honor for us not only to attend this inaugural event but also to have our dedicated residents actively involved in our growing city's events. We extend our heartfelt thanks to our residents and the City of Kemp for making this holiday celebration so memorable.
